Unfortunately, a person’s home environment plus the aging process may be providing difficult obstacles to achieving this goal. This webinar will discuss home assessments and the importance of including an assessment of a person’s function in their environment. Both aspects are imperative to making reasonable and individualized recommendations to accomplish the goals of decreasing a person’s fall risks and maximizing their functional status. The webinar will include a variety of examples of modifications and improvements ranging from DIY ideas to those needing a handyman or contractor.

Cindy has been an occupational therapist for 30 years. She has always worked with the older adult population in a variety of settings over my extensive career, including acute care, home health, outpatient, and inpatient rehab. Over the past 6 years Cindy became CAPS certified and extended her education with the executive certification in home modifications. She now owns the business, EnABLE Home Solutions. I provide recommendations for fall prevention and aging in place based on each individual person’s situation without selling or pushing a product.
