DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday\, April 28th\,  we will be co-hosting an event with Atlanta City Councilwoman Felicia Moore. Ms. Moore worked closely with GGS when she was with the state legislature including Mattie’s Call – which is the “silver alert” system in Georgia. The 15 year anniversary is coming up and the event on the 28th will be the celebration. DESCRIPTION:CALLING ALL GGS MEMBERS\nGGS’s mission includes advocating for improving the lives of older Georgians. We often support the policy work of the Coalition of Advocates for Georgia’s Elderly (CO-AGE). This year we would like to consider submitting a GGS sponsored issue to the slate of CO-AGE priorities that are chosen each year so we are holding a “Listening Session” to hear from you what issues impacting older adults you think GGS should focus on as well as any legislative policy solutions you think could be viable and impactful in Georgia. You are welcome to join us even if you don’t have a specific idea as it is always helpful to get discussions going of ideas that are bubbling up and you might have expertise or insight to share on those ideas!  All GGS members are encouraged to attend this session\, led by our Board Advocacy Committee. Once we have the ideas generated from this session\, our Advocacy Committee will meet again to discuss and vote on (if we have multiple submissions) a submission issue prior to the CO-AGE deadline. \nRegister Here
